Chainsaw Man follows the story of Denji, a young man in poverty. When his father dies, Denji is left with much debt and works for the Yakuza to repay it. He gets betrayed by the Yakuza and is killed. He then seeks revenge against the Yakuza and is later scouted into a devil-hunting team working for the government.
